Milena & Alex

Milena and Alex live in Canada. They chose Puglia for their wedding, and brought the people they love with them: guests who travelled a long way to discover this land together with them.

The civil ceremony took place at the height of the Apulian summer, at Masseria Potenti, in the countryside of Manduria. Milena's father walked her to Alex along a long path through ancient olive trees. It's one of the moments in the film I'm most attached to.

Then came the aperitivo, with the flavours of Apulian tradition, while a street band wandered among the guests. Long tables in the shade of white fabric moving in the breeze, the speeches, the music of Knights Club.

The cake cutting in front of a trullo and the fireworks closed the evening, which carried on late into the night with a DJ set.

A few minutes among the olive trees were all we needed for their couple portraits. The rest of the film is about the guests too, because a day like this belongs to everyone who lived it.
