Roccella Ionica · Calabria
Alberto and Maria are from Davoli, and they chose to get married at home, on the Ionian coast of Calabria.
The church ceremony took place in August at Santa Maria del Monte in San Sostene Superiore: the village's mother church, at the top of a granite staircase.
The moment I carry with me is the entrance into the church: Maria walking towards Alberto, and the emotion on both their faces.
At sunset, portraits of the couple with a vintage Beetle among the Calabrian hills. Then the celebration at La Cascina, in Roccella Ionica.
